1. Negatives: Drab, dated decor does not give the feeling of luxury or exclusivity / rooms were often not cleaned until late afternoon (I understand the hotel was very busy but even after I complained, this issue was not rectified for 2 days / bathrooms are quite poor and very dated.

2. The candy trolleyBreakfast serviceGym: good facilitiesNegatives: Hotel tried to nickel & dime & overcharged us for several items (why do they offer discounted meals, etc & yet still charge full price?)No upgrade given on check in (although booked via preferred partner - not a big issue but no effort/discussion made at check in)Laundry service: almost a day late & my wife had to chase them to deliverPool area: too crowded & slow poolside service (was ignored by poolside attendants for approx 30 minutes)Bell service: We had to wait 30 mins for bell service to arriveConcierge: unhelpful even with some simple questions.

3. We brought the housekeeping issues and room service issues to the guest reception staff, who failed on all counts to show they cared or would truly rectify the concern.

4. A major issue was the noise from the hallway and other rooms, while in our room.

6. we enjoyed the spa and the pool area very nice for a down town hotel , but not to be compared to a resort ,, we had an issue at breakfast at the restauran Quattro , we arrived for a late breakfast and our waiter was arguing with other waiter and when we mentined that the a/c was too hot in this area he just mentioned that for him was ok , i think he was tired and not in a good mood , the supervisor changed us for another attendant and later sent us a apology note and some nice tartes .

7. This seems to be nothing more than a small retraining issue, so that little things get fixed quickly and don't fester.

8. I was upgraded to a 'smoking optional' room which I immediately changed due to the disgusting smell - not a major complaint (the front desk staff handled the issue very quickly), but it kind of summarized the hotel for me - old, 70s and not worthy of the Four Seasons name over the door (which ironically was their old logo/typeface - you would think they would at least update that.
"They need to build a new Four Seasons in Houston " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/23/2011 Vote
9. Even despite the valet issues, we would not hesitate to stay there again on our next visit to Houston.
"Very nice hotel, very comfortable stay. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/30/2010 Vote
10. The only issue we had was with the valet service, which even when calling from the room took exceptionally long.
