BTW, I wrote to Marriott management and got a pithy response- saying they were sorry but not addressing any of the
issue
s and no coupons offered.

An upgrade cost for my inconvenience I suppose? The hotel staff is snarky and rude and completely lacking in problem solving skills and even desire to solve any
issue
a guest may have.
