1. The building, I think, must be rather old because the elevator was tiny.

5. When he showed up later, he asked me, 'Can I help you, man?' (Have I traveled back to 1972?)Complaint: Parking for the hotel is 'valet only' - a bit of false advertising, since the 'valet' is a virtually incomprehensible guy sitting in a tiny booth who seemed extremely reluctant to leave and come out into the cold (who could blame him; it was 8 degrees F).

10. This place (doubletree) was dark, dank, tiny rooms overlooking a parking lot, the gym was the yucca where I had to share equipment with street kids, and had to walk 2 long blocks to feel like I wasn't strolling around a hospital grounds.
