1. What's a resort fee for? The food is terrible and overpriced, the hotels are in need of upgrades and the tourists are tacky.

2. The room is basic, picture a La Quinta or Days Inn, minus the nice amenities like fridge, microwave, coffee maker, breakfast - the Excalibur provides none of these because they want you to buy all your food at the overpriced restaurants.

4. Ate at Dick's Last Resort which was overpriced, but what isn't in Vegas? Enjoyed football at the sportsbook that had comfy chairs & a terrific bar.

7. (But in a town where almost everything seems overpriced, what can you expect?) For a traveler wanting a safe, clean, convenient and fun place to stay in Vegas at a minimal price, I really don't think Excalibur can be beat.
