1. Yes, I was occasionally awakened by a loud freight train but I didn't hear a single note (or cheer) from the deafeningly loud rock and roll shows held on weekend evenings (including the name act show performed on that Saturday evening).

3. I live within a mile of Red rock Casino, but I prefer going to Main Street which is like a 20 minutes drive away.

4. Side trips on this leg of our stay were to a couple of great antique stores, visits to Terrible`s casino (see other review) and a drive to Red rock Canyon for a 2 mile hike.
