1. The only major issue was my room was on the third floor and whenever I opened my window I could smell the smoke from the smoking section outside the lobby.

3. When I confronted the front desk about the issues they said they had nothing to take care of flies and they told me to simply wait my turn at the lobby until a parking spot opened up.

4. If you're a little less like me (I have no desire to deal with confrontational issues when I'm on vacation - I don't complain) then you can probably argue your way into a better room.
