3. It's a shame the staff have to work with such poor quality facilities, while checking in more than one guest was complaining about the poor standard of their room, the staff member tried to provide a better standard but they are working with very faded glory.

(I dont usually write up service issues on hotels because they are typically the exception, not the norm, however this particular hotel irked me when I called and asked for the general manager when complaining about the internet service (critical for business travelers) and he (David) didnt know anything about the issue that had been occuring for 2 days - confirmed by the front desk.

7. She said that she is so used to people complaining when told that they have to wait for a room that she was happy to see a normal, considerate person at the desk.

8. The desk manager, taken aback that I did not complain (which, apparently, is the norm) leaned over and told the desk clerk that room #XXX was available, if she wanted to put me there.
