Rusty railings, peeling paint, worn concrete, broken or intermittent working card scanners, small amounts of trash scattered around the lot (and visible on the roof of the entry overhang) the broken parking lot gate ( the wheels fell off while we were there), the junky clutter in the below ground parking garage (if any space is even available) and the homeless camped out in the park next door gave the impression that Hotel Blue was more of a den of Iniquity than the solid hotel that it is on the inside.
