1. If it's a big issue you can take Van Ness up and down which is a lot of business offices and open space and take the muni over to the city center.

2. You can tell that security is an major issue here by the number of video cameras installed in this hotel (a lot)- THE NOISE: unless you like to party or don t need to sleep more than 2 or 3 hours this is gonna be also a major issue for you.
