5. Whilst searching for a hotel in San Francisco I found the city as a whole to be a bit on the expensive side compared to other places we were staying on our trip, so I admit low cost was a priority when booking this hotel.

8. Well the saying is certainly true 'you get what you pay for' and we absolutely found that to be true at the Union Square Plaza Hotel at $79 dollars a night in this very sought after very expensive SF district.

9. Carpet is clean, but feels funny on bare legs :)I payed $80 per night, which is much much better than the more expensive places around that area.

10. If you want a great view from your hotel window, go elsewhere, but if you want a decent room at a great price in an area where everything else (including the diners) are horrendously expensive, this is the place for you.
