1. The parking charges in San Fran is very expensive , so this is an added bonus.

2. san fran itself we found very expensive , eating out especially , unless you head to mels diner, out of hotel and turn left down lombard street for about a mile , great food at great prices a 1950s style diner like something straight out of grease.

4. However, my overall feeling is that I would have rather paid a bit more and stayed somewhere a bit nicer and we may as well have forked out for a more expensive hotel since we were overcharged when we left and the management have ignored our requests to look into the matter ever since.

5. The Buena Vista Motor Inn is a good venue for SF visitors driving a car, because parking is free and the staff is very friendly and helpful, plus the rates are reasonable for a city where hotel, and especially parking, is expensive.
