1. It is not a problem as long as you know where you're going when you leave the hotel and don't wander the wrong way into the seedy area.

3. Unfortunately homelessness is a huge problem in San fran so were ever u go u will meet them.

4. We are visiting from Germany and my German health insurance does not extend here - which obviously makes this more of a problem for foreign travelers.

5. It seems to be if you are staying in the immediate area you are going to have similar issues as the homeless problem is citywide.

6. The problem was the number of 'homeless/beggars' who frequented the streets around the Hotel and harrased you on entering or leaving plus the fact right next door was a Sports Bar open till 2 a.

7. Firstly let me state that the staff couldn't have been more helpful , through advice, hints and quickly fixing a room allocation problem and help with onward travel.

8. I have never had a problem (returning late at night or any other time for that matter), but I would not recommend venturing too far into the neighbourhood after dark - just to be on the safe side.
