1. As a person who has a contractor husband, it's hard to not notice the caulking around the shower, the obvious paint over paint over paint on the door of the bathroom, and little things like that.

5. If you want to go downtown and not take your car (hard to park and expensive) you can take a trolley bus which takes about 40 minutes to the ferry building.

The location of the OP is perfect if you like to walk and during the week I was there I walked to the harding Park Golf Course - site of the 2009 President's Cup Matches, The SF Zoo is across the street, Fort Funston - great if you have a dog, Golden Gate Park - spectacular in every way and, of course, the beach that's only 2 short blocks away.
