2. I mean, really, how terrible is it that my initial reaction to a sound comparable to gunshots is 'it figures' and not 'jump in the car, we're getting out of here'? I conjecture that it was at this very moment in time that the Kings Inn had broken my will.

3. The stairwells were littered with cigarette butts and tobacco, while corridors near the ice machine appeared to serve a greater purpose as temporary dumping sites for trash from recent remodels, with toilets, broken bed frames and similar items making up the bulk of such detritus piles.

4. How about cigarette butts on the hallway carpets? How about transvestites asking you for a corkscrew at 8:00 am? How about a general 'lock up' at night? Do you like broken 1950s plumbing? Do you like 1960s polyester spreads, drapes, carpeting, and uphostery? This place should have been torn down with the majority of the Seattle Worlds Fair buildings in 1962.
