1. Even though those things are not in the hotel's control, I always consider the stay a success when I'm not woken up by drunk people at 3am or by my neighbor's loud TV at 7am.

5. The staff were very nice and the pool area was lovely -not sure why they need loud thumping music round the pool though - but every hotel we stayed in on the West coast seemed to do the same so maybe thats a Californian thing.

8. My husband and I make a trip to San Diego every Memorial Day and this year instead of staying downtown where it seems you can't escape noise & loud music we decided to stay on the bay at the Hilton Bayfront.
