1. What I noticed about this hotel was that everyone is working quite hard to maintain it - vacuuming, doing windows, and it really pays off.

3. They Now have king beds, since their update, rather than the 2 queens that we prefer which are very firm with lots of pillows which are uncomfortably hard.

4. We want to give special recognition to the housekeepers - they are hard workers and certainly gave attention to detail.

5. There is an Expedia activities desk in the lobby and Tiffany was very helpful and didn't try to push or hard-sell on the snorkel trip we asked about.

6. The staff were all very friendly; Happy hour 3-5 at the pool bar was worth heading home for - in Maui a $4 cocktail is hard to find (limited choice on these though).

Here is my list of things not to be missed: Pipiwai Trail (Kipahulu), Wailea and the ocean beach walk trail, Ferraro's restaurant, Mulligans on the blue (Celtic Tigers Band), Kapalua area near the Ritz Carlton (beachside walk trail), Makena, Napili beach, Cafe O Lei restaurant, Lahaina, Kaanapali (Hula Grill), Maui Ocean Center, Kanaha beach near the airport (hard to find but really cool.

10. That's when I prefer condos on Maui to a hotel stay (more than 5 nights) as to me that becomes a better deal but it's hard to beat the deal you can have here and not feel cheated.
