1. Also, shopping areas in the resort itself are also limited, although, again, with Whaler's Village so close by it wasn't an issue.

3. The KoOlina resort is not this way, Marriott's Maui Ocean Club is the only one I've seen like this, which is another mis-management issue.

4. Although we typically don't spend a lot of time in the room when we're on vacation, the time we did spend in the room had some issues, which I'll summarize below.

6. Honestly, though, I barely consider that to be a big issue when you compare it to the service and quality of views from the ocean front rooms.

7. The TV remote and multiple channels were also a bit difficult, but this was a minor issue given that we were there to enjoy the beach, not watch TV.

8. At most, it was about 5 to 10 feet wide, and the real issue is that to try to get into the water you have to fight massive amounts of rocks.

9. The Maui Ocean Club also has addressed its previous issue with limited pool-side lounge chair access -- on our last stay (during a busy spring break trip), we never had any problems finding chairs.

10. The staff where great and very friendly, however the place itself is odd, because it used to be a hotel so the rooms do not have any main kitchen facilities such as stove and hob, not an issue with ourselves but could be if you needed to cook.
