2. Chose to stay here over 2 larger Properties that flank the SBInn because it was the less expensive choice but I still expected outstanding service which I didn't receive.

3. It was very important for us to get a room with a view of the ocean and the hotel manager swore up and down that our room was on the second floor, looking out over the ocean, and he charged my credit card for that (more expensive room rate).

4. Dark cramped bathrooms with a horrible sewer smell, old lumpy furniture and bed, lots of noise due to being next to a main street, expensive parking in an empty lot, mediocre breakfast.

10. Rooms in Santa Barbara are expensive, so this is a decent deal, as long as you are ok with the hotel being a bit tired.
