5. I would have preferred that employees at the time had felt empowered to make decisions to correct issues and deal with problems; but, that said, the Manager and General Manager have made considerable concessions to us, and to my son and his bride, in the interest of service recovery, for which I thank them.

6. If you can deal with the elevator issue, which in the grand scheme of things is not really a big deal) and are looking for a hotel with charm and personality in a great downtown setting, this is a great place to stay.

7. I was just a bit disappointed, but this lead me to believe that it's a recurring event, and if they did that for everyone that had an issue, they'd be run ragged.

8. I called the front desk they said they were having issues and we would have towels in about an hour---not very assuring since we were to be at a gala in an hour and a half.

9. The bed was very soft, and checking in was my only issue; they couldn't find me on the guest list, but they did after a few minutes, and checked me in.
