4. A nice big park right across the street, and the Santa Barbara Zoo (which we highly recommend) is just across the street from the park.

7. I saw no evidence of a homeless problem, and the park across the street from the hotel was populated with nothing more dangerous than some people playing sports or sunbathing.

8. This little gem of a hotel was a bit difficult to find and check in was at their sister hotel was a bit down the street, but once that hurdle was cleared the place was wonderful.
