To top it off the staff was great, the restaurant was solid (for hotel fare), the wireless internet was free (it worked most of the time), parking was free, the bed was comfy, it had a nice pool area, and the central location was great with about 10-20 minute drives to downtown, the zoo, Mission Bay, and La Jolla (plus you were out of the way of the hectic hotel corridors).

9. The bathroom was well appointed, the bed was comfortable, and the location (805 at 163) was very convenient for our stay.

10. There were cheaper hotels of course, but for the extra few dollars (it cost CAD $105 per night) we got a clean room (where we didn't have to worry about the cockroaches scattering when we came in at night and turned the ligths on) and a very comfortable bed.
