5. The area in which the hotel is situated is a little sterile and is centered around the freeway, but there are plenty of restaurants and shops within a minute or two of driving, and Old Town is nearby as well; I would highly recommend an evening in Old Town.

9. As far as Hilton properties in the Mission Valley area go, I actually prefer the Doubletree (the one on Hazard Center Drive, NOT the one on Hotel Circle South) -- it's not quite as easy to get to, but there are restaurants/shops within walking distance and it just seems cleaner and nicer.

10. From the time we pulled up until checkout the entire staff we came across from the Bellmen (great restaurant recs) to the Front Desk were very friendly and accommodating.
