1. A nice Embassy Suites close to the waterfront, with museums, Amtrak, and Navy building and restaurants all within walking distance.

7. This hotel is located near the waterfront of San Diego, but it is only a short walk to downtown areas for meals, shopping, the Gaslamp district, etc. The staff is friendly and there are numerous amenities such as free breakfast, a pool, gym, free safe deposit box, and free happy hour.

8. It's across the street from the waterfront, a block or so from the USS Midway and touring boats, a couple of blocks from the convention center and the Gaslamp district, and a very short drive to Petco/Padres stadium.
