3. There are also nice things like friendly service, good breakfast, great restaurants, fun bars, beautiful weather, clean rooms, awesome housekeeping, plenty of big towels, comfy robes, complimentary beach toys and boogie boards, and particularly delicious cookies every afternoon.

6. The housekeeping staff observed we had our kids with us and made wonderful 'origami' towel animals that delighted our 8 and 3 yr old when we returned to the room after playing at the beach.

The hotel itself is perfectly situated on Mission Beach with most rooms offering terrific views of the ocean as well as the hotel's beautiful, warm and lighted pool surrounded by comfy lounge chairs (some under a shaded canopy that I certainly needed for my red head!) The grounds are beautiful and well kept up with maintenance people all over collecting towels and any litter that (rarely) seemed to find its way to the pool area.
