1. First of all the steak was tough and the lobster was overcooked, I didnt even have breakfast and I had spent $274 just for the room and dinner, then they add on taxes an fees for the room.

2. Plus, for a small fee, I was able to access the spa at the big sister property across the street, The Grand American, and feel like royalty for a few hours.

3. Here my 'beef':- decor is about 1960's - totally over the top; entirely uncomfortable - then the decor in the bathroom is more like a morgue- garden rooms are miles away from the lobby- when in the garden rooms it's actually more like a motel- it was not cheap at all; maybe the other reviewers had higher discounts- opening your door poses a major challenge even for the well-travelled; they have a physical key, and it has to be turned inside the lock just so - it took me 10 attempts each time - i was ready to call in the facility manager- i declined to receive the newspaper - it still ended up in front of my door (and the fee probably rolled into the cost of the room- for check-out i needed to stop at the front desk - most hotels now slip the bill under your doorYes, the room was pretty big, but also directly facing the road and gas station - reinforcing the feeling of a better motel.

4. Great price on priceline ($66 incl taxes/fees on priceline - tip it is the only 3.5 star hotel in entire Salt Lake City Area, so you can start bidding low and continue to add areas as you increase your price.

9. Overall it is a nice hotel but they need to fix the policy of charging guests extra fees after they have booked on Priceline or Hotwire.
