7. Here my 'beef':- decor is about 1960's - totally over the top; entirely uncomfortable - then the decor in the bathroom is more like a morgue- garden rooms are miles away from the lobby- when in the garden rooms it's actually more like a motel- it was not cheap at all; maybe the other reviewers had higher discounts- opening your door poses a major challenge even for the well-travelled; they have a physical key, and it has to be turned inside the lock just so - it took me 10 attempts each time - i was ready to call in the facility manager- i declined to receive the newspaper - it still ended up in front of my door (and the fee probably rolled into the cost of the room- for check-out i needed to stop at the front desk - most hotels now slip the bill under your doorYes, the room was pretty big, but also directly facing the road and gas station - reinforcing the feeling of a better motel.
