When we arrived, the young woman at the front desk greeted us warmly and was so competent and cheerful, bordering on the amazing, and I asked whether she might be Angela, whose name identifying her as the manager on duty was posted next to the sparklingly clean front desk in the recently renovated, immaculate, and comfortably furnished lobby.

4. It was clear even from my initial call to Angela to inquire about the property that they care deeply about their guests and their hotel, and they went out of their collective way to make us (not just my daughter and me but everyone I saw checking in or out or even just passing through the lobby) feel welcome and comfortable--like old friends--not intruders interrupting their conversations or disrupting their days (or nights).
