Hood, a very comfortable bed in a cozy, well-decorated room with a huge wall-mounted flat screen TV, a very clean bath with granite counters, gilchrest & soames bath amenities and a rain shower head, free, reliable wi-fi in the rooms, free use of the Bally's fitness center a block away, excellent customer service at check-in and every chance encounter you have with staff, and a wonderful in-house restaurant that shows up in Portland's top 100 restaurants.

8. (I know this, as on the Sunday we were there, and the construction area down the hall was vacant, I snooped past the wide open door to see what the old rooms looked like) Honestly, the old layout for the bath and closet was better.
