2. The staff member explained that since we had the DND up when the maid went by they just went on with their cleaning and finished without coming back.

4. This time though I go to the desk and ask 'shouldn't the maids be checking which rooms were done and then go back to see if the DND is gone?' The answer was pretty noncommittal and they just said pretty much that is how it works.

5. The towels were wet when the maid serviced our room, and she remarked that they can't dry them further as then they are even more 'rough to the skin'.
