There is a bank right next door, a gas station on the corner, and a Safeway supermarket half a block away, as well as a small shopping centre within walking distance (although one must cross the freeway-- keep walking past the Safeway to go under the bridge-- and be careful if you have a stroller, there are a few metres with no sidewalk).
