Lots of lovely restaurants and cafes close by with the staff always ready with advice re: the 'to do' and directions for Portland site seeing etc. This last week I had to go to Seattle and because I loved the Hotel Modera thought I would email them to see if they had any suggestions for a hotel in Seattle that was just like them.

7. The architecture of this hotel continues to enthrall us, as does the location (very quiet for downtown Portland) within walking distance of the riverfront, Pioneer Place, the Portand Museum of Art and many great restaurants.

8. Staff was very knowledgable and helpful in finding areas of interest, and we even got a complimentary appetizer courtesy of the front desk at a restaurant they recommended and even arranged reservations for us.
