1. We were able to walk to a decent restaurant for dinner but can't comment on breakfast as we had to leave too early.

If you drive to this hotel you have to double park on a one way street (across from the convention center) and go register, lug your bags to your room then go back outside and drive two blocks to a parking garage (the hotel arranges for $10.00 parking) then walk back past several Asian restaurants and homeless people and perhaps a thunder and lighting storm for more fun.

3. it is 5 min walk to the L/subway station and about 20 mins to the old city where there are bars and restaurants.
