Before I launch my complaints against this hotel and my experience there, I should just say up-front that the desk
manager
(I think his name was Erik) was very nice and tried very hard (mostly unsuccessfully) to fix the problems I encountered.

I spoke with Conwell's general
manager
and she too told me they would not refund the second night.
"Beware Conwell's 48 hour cancellation policy. You'll still pay if you check out early. "
