5. I also arrived at 10:30 that morning but was told these were the only two rooms they would offer me even if I waited until after check out time which I did anyway (and they charge for late cancellation which this would have been).

There is a free breakfast (omelets and organic juices extra), and you can relax with a complimentary glass of wine from about 5 - 7 p.m. If you arrive by car, you can hand off the keys and the staff will park it for you at a nearby garage for about $15/day, a bargain compared to the exorbitant 'valet' rates most hotels charge.
