1. Another little tip - if you fancy a relaxing day away from a park - hav a look at Wekiwa Springs - a little known place west of orlando so get sat nav but its a national park so great walks and the chance to rent canoes / kayaks and find turtles, and alligators in the rivers, streams - etc..

2. But the walk wasn't bad and we got to see the characters through the windows as we passed by the character breakfast every morning and the kids liked that.

7. Nothing is within walking distance but the 'mall' has many resturants, an arcade, and guest services which are all part of the hotel complex and are not open to the outside public.
