1. We originally booked the standard room in January (2012) with the Disney (on line) deal of pay for 3 get 4th night free.

2. I assumed since I'd gotten such a good deal (less than half the rack rate) we would end up in a room with a parking lot view, but was very pleasantly surprised to get a room with a full balcony and a great view of the water with close access to EPCOT.

5. While this is an expensive resort, Disney does offer room discounts (or Free Disney Dining) from time to time, so if you track those offers on the Disney World website, you might be able to find a good deal.

10. We stayed during the "Buy 4, Get 3 Free" deal which made the stay in a Deluxe resort affordable, but on top of that we were upgraded to the concierge floor, only adding to the value.
