1. I found the staff helpful and kind (especially Shane and Amber), the location unbeatable - close to uptown, downtown, and the French Quarter, and the amenities, while not luxe, sufficient.

2. I spent a total of 15hrs in my hotel room, and was only a $10 cab ride from the quarter, but during the day I walked through the garden distric, down st charles to downtown, it was a nice walk about 30min, but you can always take trolly.
