4. Lovely second story exterior balcony adjacent to atrium with small wading pool and fountain (great spot to soak your feet after traipsing around the city) The room we were in was very small and like a step back into 1985, no, not 1885 but 1985 complete w/ an Amana Radarange (microwave?) that we were able to operate once and then unable to repeat the process ever again.

6. It`s by the soda machine and after a long day of touristing, it was great to dip my feet in the pool and enjoy a Diet Dr.

7. It has a nice wading pool and a deck off the second floor where you can look out on the street.

9. We do miss the small outdoor pool and hot tub at the Frenchmen, but Hotel de la Monnaie is quiet, accommodating and refined; at the edge of the Quarter, close enough, but yet far enough away from the Mardi Gras festivities.
