1. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and we were given a playpen and a stroller to use for the weekend free of charge.
"Babies first trip to New Orleans " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/19/2009 Vote
2. The hotel has a nice fitness center that is free to guests--kudos, as hotels who charge for gyms earn the enmity of travelers who try to stay fit when on the road.
"Nice hotel, but not a full price--a disappointing JW. . . " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/17/2009 Vote
3. There is a gym (free of charge) which is small but adequate.
"Great hotel, good location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/2/2009 Vote
4. Bad: I'd give 5 stars if not for the pricey internet charge (how is this free at most Hampton Inns, for example, but not at a JW Marriott?), the fussy A/C (it was perfect during the day, but no matter how low we turned it down at night, we woke up a bit warm and had to do the old 3AM adjustment--all this while the hallways were like meat lockers 24/7), and the moderately thin walls (this is a very minor criticism--Hotel Monteleone was much, much worse; I realize it's NO, so noise is expected, but you can hear quite a bit in adjacent rooms; admittedly this is usually more the neighbor's fault than the hotel's).

"Nice hotel but has argumentative Room Service people " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/22/2010 Vote
9. My husband has Marriott Platinum Elite status and they wouldn't agree to waive this charge for him so it is safe to assume that everyone has to pay this much.
