2. We arrived late night/early morning on Saturday and the front desk staffer was excellent at speed of check in (I'm sure I looked tired) and explaining amenities of the hotel (locations, operation times, etc), and offering other suggestions for my stay.

5. I almost felt insulted - I know the difference in a 'suite' and a queen - why not just tell me at check-in that you don`t have my room because you overbooked.

10. When I didn't get the room I booked, the lady at the front desk may not have been rude, but was indeed 'short', explaining 'you can only request a particular room, but until you check in you don't know what you will get'.
