I went across the
street
to the Hilton Double Tree and had the most wonderful experience possible.

So even thought mine was $12, it was cheaper than eating at the Denny's across the
street
.

If you want to see the city (not so much to see) you need to drive approx 15 min, and you can see a nice
street
at West End Village, but mainly restaurants.

If you are in a pinch for food, there is not much within walking distance of the hotel (just a denny's across the
street
) so it might be a decent alternative in a pinch.

However, in the fuure I think i would spend the $80 bucks more and stay at the Hilton Anatole down the
street
or the Marriott Market Center Suites.

My room was $139/nt, which I assume was less than the Hilton Anatole just down the
street

There is a Dennys across the

and a McDonalds about a mile.

The Doubletree Market Center has the feel of a suburban hotel property: on a six lane
street
, near the freeway, with free parking, and not much to offer itself.

There is a vacant, fenced lot next door that used to be a Holiday Inn; there's a Best Western on the other side; a Denny's is across the
street
.
