1. The breakfast bar is NOT complimentary, nor are the happy hour drinks, which made me wonder why Embassy Suites (a sister hotel of the same chain) can offer complimentary full breakfast and happy hour drinks and Hilton Garden Inn cannot.

2. The pool`s pilot light had gone out and the 'borrowed' maintenance man from a neighboring hotel couldn`t fix it (I learned all this after trying to remove the rock holding the door open that lead to the outdoor courtyard from the hot tub area - keep in mind it was 20 degrees outside - I was surprised when the neigboring hotel`s maintenance guy popped up from the dark and explained all this to me while I was standing there in my bathing suit.
