1. In fact, when my wife commented to one of the front desk staff that it was my birthday, they actually had ballons, a card, and a couple of beers delivered to the room while we were out free of charge.

3. He seemed annoyed that we were asking him to do work, so he angily swiped the food off of the counter and said that there would be 'no food, for us!' When we questioned him about why he wouldn't sell us the food or charge it to our room, he asked us to leave the premises.
