First we had to bring our vehicle on the other side of the hotel
to park
it for the week ( which worried me a little) and then we had to bring our luggage through two heavy glass doors to get to the most unsafe elevator I have ever been in.

The parking is free and they operate a twice hourly shuttle to the JFK/UMass T station, which is about 15 mins to Park street (for Boston Common, visitor centre and the start of the freedom trail).

to park
the car there.

Additionally, parking at the Convention Center was $10 and the traffic was never bad, and we would have gladly paid
to park
and drive ourselves, rather than be among the last persons to be picked up from the Conventiion Center each evening.
