1. No fitness room or gym but I was referred to a local fitcorp gym that is only open on the weekdays during regular business hours (its designed for working professionals).

2. For me if a hotel in america provides a bed, a barthroom, HBO, gym access and free internet its perfectly fine with me - even better if you can easily avoid bellboys, and other staff being falsely kind to garner a tip or two.
