The bellman, an older Irish gentleman, was sooooo friendly and had the best walking directions to Newbury
Street
and the Boston Common.

For a older hotel, the rooms were clean with plenty of room and the hotel was right across the
street
from the Prudential Center/Mall, T Station and plenty of places to eat.

When we first checked in our room had a BAD view (to a stairwell!) but I asked if they had a room with a better view and they moved us to a bigger room with a
street
-side view facing the beautiful church across the
street
.

Clean sheets and towels every day even though they said they didn't do it daily to save water (unless they steam ironed the sheets - no creases on them!) the Mapparium across the
street
was SO cool.

Ask for a room away from the
street
at the Midtown and you will sleep well in quiet; we never heard our neighbors.
