1. The bellman, an older Irish gentleman, was sooooo friendly and had the best walking directions to Newbury Street and the Boston Common.

2. For a older hotel, the rooms were clean with plenty of room and the hotel was right across the street from the Prudential Center/Mall, T Station and plenty of places to eat.

3. When we first checked in our room had a BAD view (to a stairwell!) but I asked if they had a room with a better view and they moved us to a bigger room with a street-side view facing the beautiful church across the street.

4. Clean sheets and towels every day even though they said they didn't do it daily to save water (unless they steam ironed the sheets - no creases on them!) the Mapparium across the street was SO cool.

6. We had a lovely evening on UNION STREET- there was about 10 pubs/bars each with is own varying entertainment (live music/sports/karaoke)Negatives: No gym, and pool was closed in April.
