I called the hotel and after a bit of a run around, they finaly got me to the
manager
I assume and he promptly put the credit back on my card.

Despite the fact that I spoke with the security person and the
manager
of the hotel right on the valet lot as soon as I discovered this, the hotel has denied responsibility, of course.
"Where do I begin? Avoid, avoid, avoid!! Not worth the cheap rate!!! "

When I voiced my shock at this display of disdain for sleeping hotel guests, the reactions of the front desk clerk and

were merely "what are you so upset about?" We gathered our stuff and left -- NEVER TO RETURN.
