1. I got my room for under $30 a night but now there are new FEES!$5.50 a night that is not optional.

2. About $5/day, which ostensibly gives you access to the pool, the workout room, local calls, etc. These are all things which 'normal' hotels simply provide in the room base price, so why not adjust the room rates accordingly rather than hitting guests with hidden fees.

4. 40) 'resort fee' - some people have reported this is NOT disclosed when booking a room with the hotel directly, but is absolutely mandatory and can't be avoided (although if you complain loud and long enough, the hotel might reduce your nightly room rate while still leaving the resort fee in place).
