Well, I didn't tell them that we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday, but the front desk person who checked my husband's ID at check-in must have noticed that it was his birthday, because when we returned from lunch, there was a delectable plate of chocolate-covered strawberries and a nice note from management wishing him a happy birthday.

We were picked up at the hotel in a stretched limo and taken to the airstrip, a 45 minute helicopter ride to the Canyon, over the Hoover Dam, landing on the floor of the Canyon for some great photo opportunities and a champagne picnic lunch, then a 45 minute ride back, flying over the full length of the Strip - fabulous and not to be missed.

10. One tip if you like Japanese food -- Ichiban is a very reasonable and authentic place for lunch within walking distance, inside the Bally`s Sports Book entrance.
