2. My only complaints are that the balconies are a little spider webby, and sometimes the balcony doors don't open easily, drains don't drain quickly, and carpets are stained, but those are minor and I understand this isn't a brand new hotel and renovations are being made to improve things.

4. Unless you can get on the 6th floor, facing the rear of the building so that you can open your balcony door at night, I wouldn't recommend it for you either.
